Coffee Shop Guide: Daydream Surf Shop

Welcome back my fellow coffee lovers! In last month's coffee shop feature (you can read it here) I promised you all at least one coffee shop guide a month and as we near the end of February, it's time I present to you the second guide of 2018!

Daydream Surf Shop is located in Costa Mesa and can be tricky to find the first time you come due to it being in an industrialized area - but it is totally worth needing to circle a few times to find it! This coffee shop is a real hidden gem, it's unlike any coffee shop that I've ever been to as it's not only serving up some delicious coffee, but it also sells some of the coolest vintage clothing items, handmade ceramics, and apothecary items. So in between sips of coffee you can get some shopping done to bring home some one of a kind pieces. I've only been to this coffee shop three times, but I've started to make it a tradition to bring home a new handmade ceramic mug each time I go to commemorate my visit - and to support the local artist! Their menu is super simple, which I love - on a colder day you can never go wrong with an almond milk latte and on a warmer day, I highly recommend their Mary Joe CBD oil infused cold brew! They also have a really yummy vegan banana bread that pairs perfectly with a warm cup of coffee.

Daydream Surf Shop is the type of coffee shop you go to to spend a couple of hours to relax at, the staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is very chill, and the shop is large and roomy with enough seating to never feel too crowded. So next time you're in the Costa Mesa area head on over to this gem of a place - you truly will not be disappointed!
