Top 10 places to take pictures at Disneyland

People are always asking me, where's the best place to take pictures at Disneyland?? There's obviously the typical cliche castle pic that everyone gets, but if you really want to step up your Instagram game, why not try one of these 10 spots that aren't as cliche!

1) Candy Palace on Main Street

The Candy Palace on Main Street is one of my favorite places to stroll through, mainly because I love to look at all the tasty treats they have ready to buy. In the candy palace, you will find a couple towers of those famous rainbow lollipops. This is definitely an insta-worthy spot as I hardly ever see anyone take pictures with these huge lollies!

2) Boo's Door at California Adventure.

This photo-op can be found in Disney's California Adventure in Hollywood Land; it's the entrance for the Mike and Sully to the Rescue ride. Monsters Inc. is definitely one of my favorite Pixar movies so for fellow Monsters Inc. loving friends, this is surely a photo spot you don't want to miss!

3) Mickey's Car in Toontown

While I don't usually venture into Toontown when I'm at Disneyland, I do love all the little details that went into making it. It's just so quirky and I really do feel like I'm in an actual cartoon as I stroll around! Toontown has a few stationed cars that are available to take pictures in, but, what's a trip to Disney without posing in Mickey Mouse's car itself?!?

4) THE Blue Wall

You may have heard some frequent Disney go-ers mention this blue wall, it has become quite popular recently! So popular that it even has its own Instagram (search @bluewallpics). This blue wall can be found at Disney's California Adventure in the Hollywood Backlot. And it does make for some pretty awesome insta-worthy photos; the lighting there seems to always be just perfect!

5) Small World Wall

And while we're on the topic of Disney walls, might as well bring up the Small World wall! This wall can be located by, yup, you guessed it, It's a Small World! The pastel blue contrasted with the different white shapes is one of my favorite details of Disneyland.

6) Fillmore's Taste-In in Cars Land

Cars Land in general is absolutely perfect, I really feel like I'm in the movie as I stroll around. As you're walking around, you'll see this psychedelic little area selling the freshest fruits and veggie snacks - perfect way to "re-fuel."The bright colors, flowery details, and peace signs, will really make your Instagram look "far out!" ;)

7) Mad Tea Party

Okay, this one may be a little cliche but I still love it, mainly because I love the details and story of Alice in Wonderland. I have quite the handful of Teacups candids and I love them all because they always capture a different expression of pure and utter happiness. I mean, what's more magical than spinning around in a pastel colored tea cup - the answer is nothing!

8) Paradise Pier Wall

Yes, this is another wall photo-op, but I really do love this wall! It's kind of tucked away in California Adventure, so I'm sure a lot of people don't even notice it as they walk by it. It's located right next to the Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta restaurant and across from the Silly Symphony Swings.

9) King Arthur's Carrousel

The carrousel is a timeless, classic attraction that will give any photo a nostalgia factor. Whether you decide to snap a photo riding one of the beloved ponies or just pose in front of the carrousel like I did, I guarantee you're photo will have that special magical feel to it.

10) Red Car Trolley

The Red Car Trolley at California Adventure is known for having their famous little show, Red Car Trolley News Boys. Along with that show, guests of the park can have the chance to ride around Buena Vista Street and into Hollywood Land. If you time it just right, you may be able to catch the trolley in between trips and snap a picture! Not sure where the trolley stops? Here are all the locations you can catch the trolley in between trips: Buena Vista Street, Carthay Circle, Hollywood Boulevard at the Animation Academy, and Sunset Boulevard at what used to be the Hollywood Tower Hotel (soon to be the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride).

And there you have it! Hopefully this gave you guys some ideas for your next trip(s) to Disneyland! :) Let me know some of your favorite spots that I did not mention down below in the comments!
