The Power of a Vintage Dress + My Obsession for French Inspired Cafés

Welcome back lovelies and happy (almost) February! This month has felt endless to be honest, it feels like the holidays were months ago. I think it's just because I'm very excited for the coming of spring this year, and all the trips to the Farmer's Market I'll be making for fresh flowers and the chance to wear some of my favorite summertime pieces, like this vintage polka dot dress I scored from Reformation. If you're not familiar with the brand Reformation, then where have you been?!? (JK) But really, they are currently one of my favorite companies because they are all about using sustainable methods and materials to create their pieces. Now this dress would not be found online because I bought it vintage from their vintage store on Melrose. But if you do live in the LA area or are planning a trip soon, I highly recommend stopping by to 'treat yo self' to some vintage goodies! And if vintage isn't your thing, they do also have a store just a few blocks from their vintage store that has all their pieces you can find online.

This dress is such a timeless piece and totally gave me a boost of confidence wearing it. I had never really been a huge fan of polka dots before, they always seemed a little juvenile, but lately I have seen so many amazing polka-dotted pieces that I have just totally fallen in love with the trend! For this ensemble, I picked my favorite black suede vintage purse I scored at my local antique store, tortoiseshell cat eye sunglasses from Tobi (similar ones here), and black suede strappy wedged heels from Urban Outfitters (similar ones here).

Now onto my second recent obsession, and that would be the French inspired café La Tropézienne Bakery in LA. Since my trip to Paris, I'd been craving an authentic chocolate croissant and my craving was finally satisfied here! Truly one of the best I've had! And the interior of the shop is simply gorgeous; marble counter tops, lines of beautiful pastries, and gold detailed dishes and silverware. This place is truly a dream and I can't wait to go back to satisfy more of my french pastry cravings. Have you had the chance to visit this Parisian café yet?
