Sweet Summer Days Ahead

We are less than two weeks away from the first day of summer and I am ready for it. We have so many plans for this summer and while I am excited for for all of it, I definitely don’t want the summer to wiz by us like I feel it always does! The one thing I am most excited for this summer is definitely the cruise my family invited Paul and I to, it is definitely a much needed escape and vacation! We will be leaving from Spain and visiting Monte Carlo, Florence and Pisa, Rome, Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, and Malta and I am so stoked! While I hate packing, I do love outfit planning so that has definitely been something I’ve been doing to get ready. While Paul and I have done a few weekend getaways, this will be our first long vacation in almost two years, so we are definitely ready to relax and unwind.

One piece I will definitely be packing with me for the trip is this dreamy vintage maxi dress I thrifted from a local thrift store. It reminds of something that Reformation would sell, without the pricey price tag. It’s a piece I know I will be wearing time and time again, with it’s classic style.

The first time I wore this piece out, Paul and I were in Newport Beach and found this beautiful trail with long golden grass and wildflowers. I knew it was a perfect place to stop and take some pictures. The neutral tones and textures blended so well with the outfit. It was a little chilly when we were visiting, so I paired the look with a chunky cardigan I thrifted from Goodwill (surprise, surprise), my favorite beaded bag I found from a vintage shop on Etsy, Mejuri earrings, and tortoiseshell sunnies.

Paul and I absolutely love the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa area, so we will definitely be venturing back here again this summer. I feel like golden hour here must be breathtaking!

Well, I hope you all enjoyed this thrifted summer look. I’ve been feeling so inspired lately and can’t wait to style and share more summer looks, thrifted or not.
